ICBT Campus in the first amongst a series of Graduations for 2019 held its Convocation for Higher National Diploma and Higher Diploma on the 14th of November at the BMICH. Over 800 students received their Diplomas at the ceremony. Ms. Jane Levy Senior Lecturer from Cardiff Metropolitan University was in attendance and gave away the awards to those who have completed Higher National Diploma and Higher Diplomas in Business Management, Psychology, Bio Medical Science, Information Technology, Networking , Engineering and Construction. Dr. Jagath Alwis the Chairman of ICBT Campus together with the CEO Executive dean of ICBT Campus Dr. Sampath Kannangara along with other Directors, senior academic staff graced the colorful ceremony.
On the heels of becoming Champions ICBT 3X3 tournament which was held recently, the ICBT girl team comprising Shamalka Fenanado (HD Psychology, Shonali David (HD Psychology), Chalani Perera (HD Business management) and Ayesha Gamage (HD Business Management) won the 3xs basketball tournament organized by ACBT. The inter-university tournament was held Air force on 27th October. In the finals team, ICBT beat ACBT.
Students from ICBT Campus Kandy became the University Category Champions of Robotics Challenge 2019 organized by University of Moratuwa held on the 20th of October a the Civil Auditorium of University of Moratuwa
Team comprising Chathuranga Karunarathna, St. Thomas College Matale. Dinuka Rajapaksha, Maliyadeva Boys College Kurunegala. Nelaka Abeyratne, Kegulu College Kegalla and Ruchika Rathnayaka BSc Hons Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Trinity College Kandy. All students are currently following BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at ICBT campus offered by University of Sunderland UK.
