An open international platform for novel research and development; ICBT Campus 6th Annual International Research Symposium (AIRS) 2023 (https://airs.icbt.lk) was successfully held on 15th of February 2024 with the participation of over 150 national and international academia, professionals, undergraduate and postgraduate students. The research symposium was organized under the theme of “Bridging the Innovation Gap: Multi-Disciplinary Perspective” based on six research streams namely Social Sciences, Engineering & Construction, Health Sciences, Business Management, Psychology and Information Technology. AIRS2023 was able to publish 74 extended abstracts papers in the proceedings (https://airs.icbt.lk/Publications.html ) this time as the highest ever.
AIRS2023 inauguration ceremony commenced with the participation of Dr.Jagath Alwis the Chairman of ICBT Campus as the Chief guest and one of the key note speakers, Dr.Sampath Kannangara the CEO of ICBT Campus and the Chair of the symposium, The distinguished Key note speakers, Prof. Ranjith Dissanayake; President, The institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL), Ms. Karen Giles Associate Head of School CPD & International Nursing from University of Sunderland, Dr. (Eng.) Sujithra Weragoda; Director, Joint Research and Demonstration Center for Water Technology, Ministry of Water Supply, Dr. Tina Marolt-Cebasek; Senior Lecturer School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment from Liverpool John Moores University.

Bringing home victories in Mens Singles 3rd Place, Mens Doubles 2nd & 3rd Place, and claiming the title of University Staff Champions at the UMiSF Badminton Tournament hosted by the University of Moratuwa.
ICBT Colombo campus Business Management 101 students complete a project by providing requested School bags and Water bottles to underprivileged kids, who are studying the primary section of Weediyabandara Maha Vidyalaya - Mathugama, where 300+ students learning from grade 01 to grade 13. The school has identified 100 students who are financially suffering due to the current economic condition of the country. Therefore, Business Management 101 students respond to the request sent by the principal of the school and purchase the requested school bags and water bottles. It took two months to finish the project.
Students of Business Management 101 carried out various fundraising activities such as food stalls, selling ICBT logo key tags, and cricket tournament to collect the necessary fund requirement of the project while the balance requirement given by the ICBT campus from the allocated CSR budget.
